Anthony Albanese and Bernice King Launch End Covid the Third Way Campaign

Obsoleting Trickle-Down Economics

"The beauty of the New Third Way is that it not only obsoletes trickle-down economic theory, but also does it while decreasing the tax and regulatory burdens on business."

January, 2021 – Sydney, Australia, Atlanta, Georgia – Anthony Albanese, leader of the Australian Labor Party and Dr Bernice King, youngest daughter of Martin Luther King Jr. and CEO of the King Center have jointly launched the End Covid the Third Way campaign. The goal of the campaign is to ensure that the post-pandemic economic recovery begins at the bottom not trickles down from the top. This will be achieved by expanding the idea of corporate social responsibility to include the funding of the nonprofit sector. The result will be billions of dollars flowing to those most in need around the world and a post-pandemic economic recovery led by the nonprofit sector.

This campaign puts to rest the idea of trickle-down economic theory. The idea that helping the rich will then trickle-down to the poor. This toxic theory has resulted in the greatest concentration of wealth in human history.

The beauty of the New Third Way is that it not only obsoletes trickle-down economic theory, but also does it while decreasing the tax and regulatory burdens on business.

For the incoming Biden presidency, the New Third Way opens the pathway to healing a deeply divided nation in two key ways.

Firstly, it recognizes and acknowledges the fears and concerns of the millions of Americans who voted and still support Donald Trump by reaffirming and expanding the core principles of the Declaration of Independence in a grand narrative for the 21st century.

Secondly, it allays the fears of those who feel left behind in a post-industrial society by offering a new economic model that puts people first.

Importantly, the New Third Way provides an economic mechanism for global action on climate change, which will enable the developing nation to transition to renewable energy. This removes one of the main objections to climate change action that argues that action on climate change that does not include the developing nations is nothing more than virtue signaling.
