CORPORATE FOUNDING MEMBER INVITATION
We are inviting a limited number of major corporations to join us as Founding Members to help drive systemic change and to achieve substantial competitive advantage in the new environment.
This involves joining Trruster as a Business & Group Member at a deep discount on subscription fees and a guarantee of no fee increases for the next five years.
This will be particularly important as the campaign will put a value on the concept of Environment, Society and Governance (ESG).
PUTTING A VALUE ON ESG
The campaign will expose the current ESG initiatives as nothing more than the "greening of business as usual" and contributing very little, if anything, towards solving some of the world's most pressing problems and challenges, including climate change.
For our Founding Members this represents a significant opportunity for competitive advantage in promoting their ESG credentials by directly helping the disadvantaged in Australia. (Founding Member subscription fees will prioritize our Australian Founding Member Nonprofits.)
NONPROFIT FOUNDING MEMBER INVITATION
The narrow focus on reducing emissions by government mandate and taxation will have a disproportionate impact on the world's poor because energy forms a bigger part of their household budgets.
There is now a better way to tackle climate change that both recognizes the need for action but not at the expense of the world's poor.
We are inviting Australian nonprofits to be Founding Members to begin the process of working together to tackle climate change in a more fair and just way.
WORKING TOGETHER TO TACKLE CLIMATE CHANGE
The climate change debate is over and just about everyone agrees that it is real and human-induced.
The next step is how to marshal and utilize global resources that bypasses the politics, special interest groups and the extremists on both sides of the debate.
We now have the technology and the concept to do just that and it begins with the Climate Change Action - There is a Better Way! campaign.
CLIMATE CHANGE ACTION - THERE IS A BETTER WAY
The Climate Change Action-There is a better way! campaign will directly target the thirty-odd years of failures in trying to address climate change through government mandate, taxation, tariffs, regulation and the overzealous promotion of renewable energy.
The message is simple. We cannot tackle climate change by slapping on taxes, imposing tariffs or by demonizing fossil fuels. These are 19th century tools and ideas unsuited to solving 21st century challenges like climate change.
While renewable energy is an increasingly important part of the energy mix, it can only be a small part because of its low energy density when compared to fossil fuels.
We now have a way to better marshal and utilize global resources to address climate change beyond the simplistic easy-fixes that fail to fix the planet and hurt the poor.
RESOURCES SECTOR KEY TO AUSTRALIA'S ECONOMIC RECOVERY
Australia's post-pandemic economic recovery is closely linked to the resources sector, which is under pressure from the demonization of fossil fuels and the overzealous promotion of renewable energy.
Our campaign will highlight the reality that fossil fuels are responsible for lifting millions of people out of poverty and are integral to the health of the global economy.
A healthy global economy provides the resources and the means to address climate change quickly and efficiently through systemic change, which has the potential to deliver a thirty-fold increase in funding for research and development into tackling climate change.
To this end, we are inviting politicians from all sides politics to become Founding Members, which will have the flow-on effect of revitalizing democracy and, through the process, build membership and support.
REVITALIZED DEMOCRACY BUILDING MEMBERSHIP
Australian politicians, from the Prime Minister down, are being invited to become Founding Members, which will lead to a revitalized form of democracy that gives people a great say in how they are governed, not just at election time but on an ongoing, issue-by-issue basis.
The feedback on key issues will be increasingly reported and analyzed in the media and will drive membership. This will begin the systemic change necessary to address climate change as well as the many other global problems and challenges, starting in Australia.
As the campaign gains momentum, it will result in potentially millions of dollars flowing directly through the Australian nonprofit sector to help the poor, the disadvantaged and to help those impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic to get back on their feet.
Importantly, the increase in R&D can massively ramp research and development of carbon capture and storage technology, which offers the most optimal path to reducing emissions while utilizing fossil fuels.
As Australia recovers, it will be proof positive of what is possible when we work together.
